Today, on 27th of September 2007, the KIBERTRON project is celebrating 5 years of its creation.
In its essence, the KIBERTRON project is innovative and one of the boldest projects in its sphere till this day. Its purpose, the creating of an intelligent robot, is still apprehended as a fantastic, more than realistic goal.
The project was launched on 27th of September in 2002 by Ahmed Merchev, although he was only 18 years old. The idea was clear, and the unknown – infinite.
Because of its innovative nature, the project became extremely popular in short terms, which led to the joining of the new members of the team. Six months later the team consists of: Ahmed Merchev, Lyubomir Slavilov, Antoni Stavrev – the KIBERTRON team.
For the realization of the project, on 11th of March 2004 KIBERTRON Ltd. was officially registered, and after a while the team was joined by Boris Dichev, the author of The Theory of Time, which is used in the development of the robot.
Thanks to the research of the KIBERTRON team in the sphere of the electromechanical structure of the robot and its intellect, in September 2004 the KIBERTRON project was ranked at 6th position in the chart “World's greatest android projects” by Android World magazine. On 5th of October 2004, KIBERTRON team was awarded with the “European Award for Innovations” during INNOVACT 2004.
The Version 1 of the prototype of humanoid robot KIBERTRON is completed and the development on Version 2 is in progress.
Bulgaria is an emblematic country in the development of science, technologies and high technologies.
After John Atanasoff created the
first electronic computer, based
on the binary logic, today the KIBERTRON team is on its way to create the first intelligent robot, based
not on the binary logic, but on a computer with
chaotic logic.
The world is as we know it today thanks to the computers. But everyone can notice the growing chaos caused by them – yes, we can do whatever we want with a computer, but we are not as happy as the people that lived before us.
The reason for this is the UNSIMILARITY. The computers works on a principle which differs from the principle of human thinking and that is because the integration between a computer and a human is inferior, and even harmful. This is also the reason for the divisions in the social life of man.
The solution of this problem is the SIMILARITY. To be more specific – the creation of a bond between the technological and social systems. This is the reason why the KIBERTRON project was created. Till this moment we are the only ones working for this cause, and dreaming to be joined by others.
The development of a robot in the current conditions in Bulgaria is not an easy task, it’s not healthy and could tear up your personal life, which makes the choice even harder.
At the end of October 2004, Antoni Stavrev left the KIBERTRON team for personal reasons. Ahmed Merchev, Lyubomir Slavilov and Boris Dichev continued to develop the project.
Still the KIBERTRON project is developed entirely on self funding. This fact is limiting the research activity of the team. Not only are the investments in the science research in Bulgaria low, but there is no suitable environment in the field of cybernetics and robotics.
During the last two years the efforts of our team are concentrated on finding financial funds for the development of the project. The system for managing of projects and teams “Virtual Teams Engine” is completed and offered as a product. The system avoids crisis situation through structuring and integrating the basis of the methodology, on which the intellect of the KIBERTRON robot is based.
The implementing of the system in the company ensures a direct ratio between the expenses and profit through following a special index of the communication integrity.
The building of the KIBERTRON Network, which will allow the connection between companies and persons committed to the KIBERTRON idea, is still in progress.
The Final Balance:
- We managed to build a team of professionals with experience in the fields of cybernetics, robotics and the nature of time.
- We made a methodology, which allows the creation of an intelligent humanoid robot.
- We made significant research in the sphere of humanoid robots.
- We started strategic cooperations, necessary for the development of the project.
- There is still not enough financial support of at least 5 million euro for finishing the research and building the first prototype of the KIBERTRON robot.
Target End Products:
- Intelligent humanoid robot, which has an intellect, autonomy, structure, dimensions, kinematics and dynamics similar to those of the human being.
- Methodology, instruments and devices to establish structured and integrated constructive connection between the technologies and the social systems.
- Chaotic Logic Computer.
This is the KIBERTRON project today, on the 27th of September 2007, the date which Ahmed Merchev scheduled as a wishful deadline for the existence of an already produced prototype of the KIBERTRON robot five years ago.
